As a Senior Analyst, you'll be part of a dynamic team and work in a stimulating, bustling diversified environment. You'll work on a variety of different assignments to deliver on the transformation and efficiency objectives set by National Bank. You'll also provide high-quality, reliable support and high-level coaching to the teams you represent.

You'll be based in Toronto and report to the Manager, Mutual Funds Dealer Operations (MFDO).

Your main responsibilities:

  • Work with various internal and external parties on joint projects and provide support to the Senior Advisor team for MFDO.
  • Support the development of day-to-day operating efficiency: continuous improvement, versatility, operational excellence, standardization, simplification and optimization of processes.
  • Collect and analyze varied information related to activities or content in his business unit.
  • Identify initiatives that could have an impact on the process input or output or on the value of current business processes and advise his immediate superior.
  • Develop sub-processes, business practices, and participate in improving current processes across all MFDO teams.
  • Lead and support the stages of change implementation and ensure follow-up.
  • Implement control mechanisms in relation to audit and compliance reports to ensure the quality of the processes, operations and services offered.
  • Define the problems identified through a rigorous analysis of the information available and identify improvements to business activities and processes.
  • Make recommendations within his business unit and work committees aimed at optimizing activities, processes and business practices.
  • Act as backup for our Post-Trade Fulfillment controls review.

Competencies required :

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Sound knowledge of investment processes
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements for investment products and registered/non-registered products (e.g. RRSPs, RRIFs/LIFs, RESPs, TFSAs)
  • Experience in continuous/process improvement
  • Excellent analytical skills and advanced technical skills in applications such as Excel, Access, Power BI, etc.
  • Project management experience (an asset)
  • CSC and/or IFIC Operations certification (an asset)
  • Familiarity with different technology systems related to processes (an asset)
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French) (an asset)
