Reporting to the Vice-President, Commercial & Private Banking, your primary role will be to lead business development activities and develop a culture of excellence while looking out for the best interests of your clients.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop your market in line with business objectives and ensure the visibility of Private Banking 1859 within your region
  • Contribute to your team’s development
  • Create a healthy and dynamic work environment in which employees can excel
  • Manage client relationships
  • Represent Private Banking 1859 in exchanges with your market's centres of influence
  • Build business relationships with our internal partners (Commercial Banking, SMEs, branch network, National Bank Insurance, etc.) to promote client referrals
  • Ensure world-class customer service in your market

More specifically, you will:

  • Implement and monitor a regional visibility plan, ensuring the participation of all your team members
  • Develop close ties with your internal and external regional partners
  • Seek to improve your knowledge and that of your HNW advisory services team to best represent the group
  • Communicate, build relationships, play an influential and leadership role, and rally people from different sectors to work together
  • Provide sales coaching and leadership
  • Develop a skilled, motivated and cohesive sales and service team
  • Build client satisfaction and loyalty
  • Attract and retain top talent and ensure a positive employee experience
  • Support and contribute to the implementation of organizational changes


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or MBA or other equivalent training and a minimum of 10 years of experience in business development with high-net-worth clients
  • Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation, an asset
  • IIROC licence attained or expected to be attained within 9 months of hiring
  • Experience managing sales teams
  • Strong knowledge of wealth management and the seven areas of financial planning
  • In-depth credit knowledge
  • Ability to influence and lead
  • Bilingualism (spoken/written) in English is essential because you will be dealing with clients and partners speaking only English
