The position of Senior Advisor Financial Planning is for you!

We are the fifth largest securities brokerage firm in Canada. We have over 850 Investment Advisors in over 85 branches, helping more than 260,000 clients manage their assets. 

Working with a team of 2 Investment Advisors, the Senior Advisor – Financial Planning will be responsible for providing high-level financial planning expertise to clients.

This team is located in Sorel. Remote work is available a few days per week. 

  • Identify and review clients' financial planning needs and propose suitable solutions
  • Prepare all types of financial planning strategies (partial and complete) and retirement projections, and follow up individually with clients
  • Work with clients to develop an action plan tailored to their situation, and oversee its application
  • Build trusting relationships with clients to foster their loyalty and propose offers that go above and beyond their needs
  • Answer questions from the team's Investment Advisors and Investment Assistants concerning financial planning and retirement plans
  • Contribute to improving work processes
  • Establish and maintain effective communications
  • Monitor market developments and stay abreast of trends to suggest any adjustments needed

  • Have a completed bachelor's degree in a related field and six years' relevant experience, or completed master's degree in a related field and four years' relevant experience
  • Financial planner designation
  • Excellent financial math skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen sense of client relations (internal and external)
  • Sound knowledge of the investment and wealth management industry
  • Varied expertise (individual tax planning, estate planning, pension plans), an asset
  • Results-oriented
  • Strong planning skills
  • Perseverance and political acumen
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English(just an asset) and French(required)
