A career as a Financing Solutions Specialist hybrid at National Bank means acting as an experienced specialist in credit and transactional banking solutions for clients of National Bank Financial (NBF) Investment Advisors and other partners.

We are expanding with the opening of banking centres in NBF offices and are building a team of truly passionate professionals who are committed to offering their distinctive clientele unparalleled service.

Your main challenges

  • Recommend strategic financing solutions (All-In-One, mortgage loan, line of credit) as well as solutions tailored to the needs of Investment Advisors (IA) clients.
  • Analyze and complete boardsheets for certain specialized credit products
  • Develop new business opportunities with IAs (position banking services in IAs' financial planning).
  • Make calls and attend meetings with our partners to build lasting business relationships
  • Provide exemplary service and a client-centric experience at all times 

More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Contribute to increasing the Bank's share of wallet and profitability by providing clients referred by IAs with the most suitable credit and transactional banking solutions
  • Ensure the IAs associated with your branch accept the service offer
  • Ensure ongoing communication with IAs in order to establish their needs and provide solutions that will allow them to maximize sales opportunities with their clients. Make the advisor promise a reality at all times by providing ongoing communication and follow-up with IAs about their clients
  • Implement and maintain an exemplary level of service
  • Follow up with potential clients; seize opportunities to refer the client to an IA or make complementary offers
  • You need to be able to identify the risks inherent to Personal and Commercial Banking activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration (or related field) and six (6) years of relevant experience as a banker (small business and standard credit), or a Master's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of related experience
  • Proven experience in business development and customer service
  • Excellent knowledge of the transactional banking and credit offering
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products and services for individuals
  • Willingness to be away from the office 5-10% of the time
  • Proven interpersonal relationship skills
  • Ability to work autonomously without close supervision
  • French (spoken and written), bilingualism French-English, a strong asset.

Particular Condition:Compensation for this position comprises a base salary, commissions, and bonuses.
