As a recruiter at National Bank, you'll live up to your ambitions and have a positive impact on your own life as well as the lives of your candidates, managers, and colleagues. With your curiosity and understanding of our corporate strategy, you'll recruit the best talent to meet our clients' needs.

Your role

  • Advise managers and candidates during the recruitment process
  • Implement strategies for finding and attracting talent
  • Post jobs, analyze resumés, conduct telephone interviews, and select candidates
  • Maintain talent pools by building lasting relationships
  • Provide a people-first and inclusive candidate experience
  • Promote the Bank and identify potential profiles
  • Contribute to improving co-development processes and activities

The acquisition team is based in downtown Montreal and focuses on strategic recruitment for all of Canada. Comprised of twenty-two passionate recruiters, the mandates are divided into three teams: client relationships, technology, and corporate. Mandates are divided primarily into job categories and team leaders ensure the day-to-day management in agile mode. Taleo and LinkedIn are the main recruitment tools used.

Competencies required: 

  • Experience in talent acquisition
  • Inclusive attitude and respect for differences
  • Execution of talent search and acquisition strategies for specialized positions
  • In-depth knowledge of the job market and building talent pools
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence in both French and English

Preferred competencies:

  • Committed to teamwork, curious, and interested in learning
  • Interested in technical recruitment and technology
  • Good analytical skills and ability to work with data

Our bi-monthly co-development workshops are based on on-the-job learning and peer support to help you master your role. Personalized training to promote your ongoing development is also available on topics such as the direct approach and managing candidates on LinkedIn.
