Operations Corporate Banking is currently looking for a Section Manager.

This sector is responsible for ensuring the succession of new employees for each of the specialized groups and continuity of operations. This position reports to the Senior Manager and has a management scope of approximately 10 employees who strive to efficiently meet the financial needs of clients under management while delivering a superior client experience.

Your main challenges:

  • Be accountable for the client experience for all Corporate Banking clients who do business with your group
  • Recruit, support, train and engage your team to improve the quality of operations and service agreements
  • Provide personalized coaching to help them develop multiple skills and support them in their career path by focusing on quality, meeting KPI targets, client satisfaction and proactiveness
  • Continually improve systems and processes to optimize your sector’s efficiency, productivity and profitability

More specifically, you will:

  • Support the Senior Manager and their colleagues in drawing up the business plan by providing information on potential opportunities for the sector, risk-related constraints and operational issues. 
  • Explain what's expected of team members based on the sector's business plan and identify the behaviours and activities required in order to achieve objectives
  • Have a management scope of approximately 10 employees
  • Oversee the hiring, development and performance management of all team members; initiate and direct the reallocation of resources
  • Explain to your team all the rules regarding client segmentation, client referrals, transaction execution, risk management, regulatory compliance and operating procedures, and make sure they are followed
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with clients and various other parties involved in the sector's activities on a daily basis
  • Ensure that employees in your section work together in order to foster knowledge sharing and meet objectives
  • Support employees in their learning to ensure sound succession in our activities (cover specializations by developing multiple skills)
  • Be accountable for the quality of your operations
  • Work closely with our training partners in order to provide learning activities adapted to our needs
  • Control budgets and ensure the accuracy of data and reports under your responsibility
  • Be an ambassador and adopt the behaviours that embody the Bank’s values, and put clients at the centre of our priorities
  • Be responsible for developing your management skills, including sales and service activities, quality of customer service and coaching
  • Carry out various mandates, analyses and special projects that have a major impact on the quality of customer service and profitability

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and three years of relevant experience
  • Experience in personnel management and coaching
  • Experience in sales and business development
  • Experience selling financial products
  • Knowledge of financing products (loans, lines of credit, mortgages), essential
  • Knowledge of Personal Banking transaction products and Mastercard products, an asset
  • Excellent leadership and change management skills
  • Client-centric
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
