Your role

  • Provide the technical expertise to define solution design and development standards, contribute to planning the roadmap and support the alignment of the technical solution with project teams
  • Identify the integrations required with other projects/systems and recommend the best integration templates
  • Propose an architecture that meets security and compliance requirements, while identifying the impacts and compromises of the proposed solutions
  • Make sure that the solutions developed respect the principles of enterprise architecture and document the technology debt when a solution deviates from them
  • Guarantee the performance and strength of the application in production
  • Coach your peers to help them hone their skills

  • Create, challenge, or contribute to architecture and development as well as any other related tasks, as required, to ensure solutions delivery
  • Participate in designing and executing the development and testing strategy and in releasing and supporting the solution during the stabilization phase
  • Understand and identify the risks and issues related to the chosen solution
  • Follow guidelines and standards, and update documentation
  • Use your influence to recommend ways to improve reliability, efficiency and data quality

Your profile

  • A completed Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience OR a completed Master's degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience as a solutions architecture in a complex organization, ideally in a financial institution
  • Experience delivering large-scale projects in a complex organization
  • Knowledge of the activities involved in the Insurance business is a an asset
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools: source code management (Git-Bitbucket), continuous integration servers (Jenkins), continuous build (Groovy, Ant), artifacts management (Nexus)
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle, DevOps principles and Agile methodology
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Known as a technical reference
  • Ability to positively influence and motivate stakeholders
  • Leadership, initiative, independence and communication skills
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
