Being an Operational Regulatory Compliance Advisor means being responsible for establishing and ensuring the maintenance of an effective compliance framework to support all sectors of the Financial Markets Operations Group. Your main responsibilities:

  • Act as an expert for the Financial Markets Operations sector by ensuring compliance with our regulatory obligations within our processes.
  • Ensure the existence and maintenance of an established control environment using a risk-based approach
  • Work closely with the Senior Advisor, Operational Risks.
  • Establish and maintain a reference library of requirements and standards applicable to the Financial Markets Operations sector and monitor changes to future regulatory requirements in order to assess their potential impacts.
  • Formulate recommendations to reduce regulatory risks for Financial Markets Operations in order to ensure the efficiency of operations and the quality of compliance information.
  • Ensure awareness and understanding of compliance obligations by employees of Financial Markets Operations.

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's degree OR Master’s degree in a related field
  • Member of the bar, an asset
  • Experience in regulatory compliance
  • Experience with regulations applicable to the Financial Markets industry
  • Knowledge of financial markets, derivatives and listed products
  • Good management of priorities and work organization
  • Autonomy, initiative and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, dynamism, rigor and proactivity
  • Bilingualism (spoken/written) French and English, essential
