As a Senior Operational Regulatory Compliance Advisor, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective compliance framework that supports all sectors in the Financial Markets Operations group.  Joining our team means growing in a dynamic environment that's constantly evolving.


Your main responsibilities:

•    Act as an expert for the Financial Markets Operations group by ensuring our processes comply with our regulatory obligations
•    Ensure that a control environment is created and maintained using a risk-based approach
•    Work closely with the Senior Operational Risk Advisor
•    Establish and maintain a reference library of requirements and standards applicable to the Financial Markets Operations sector and monitor future changes to regulatory requirements to evaluate their potential impact 
•    Make recommendations aimed at reducing regulatory risks for Financial Markets Operations to ensure the efficiency of operations and the quality of compliance information 
•    Ensure Financial Markets Operations employees are aware of and understand compliance obligations


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years' relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related field and three years' relevant experience 
  • Member of the Quebec bar, an asset
  • Experience in regulatory compliance
  • Experience with the regulations that apply to the financial market industry
  • Knowledge of financial markets, derivatives and listed products
  • Strong priority management and work organization skills
  • Autonomy, initiative and good people skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, drive, discipline and proactivity
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English/French), essential
