Being Senior manager of inside sales at National Bank Investments means exercising your leadership to develop the full potential of your team and help them meet their territory business objectives.

You will focus on providing ongoing professional development & motivating inside sales representatives to continuously improve on sales targets and client relationships.

You will leverage your positive, engaging, and collaborative leadership style to succeed.

Your role:

  • Motivate and coach members of your team with the goal of enhancing engagement and retaining and developing talent
  • Ensure that the call activity targets are met, delegated tasks, attendance and overall effectiveness within the teams are achieved
  • Monitoring and evaluation of phone calls and email communications for the purpose of training, coaching, quality control and Inside Sales’ development
  • Improve interrelationships between Wholesalers, Insides Sales and Business Development Associates
  • Ensure quality control of Salesforce data entry as well as email campaign follow up execution
  • Develop product scripts with ongoing improvements for both retention of assets and prospecting new clients
  • Work in collaboration with Financial Communications and Marketing teams on digital, e-mail and web campaigns
  • Act as a conduit between internal partners (Financial Communications, Marketing, Strategic Sales Support etc..) and sales team to provide perspective/feedback on sales initiatives and overall strategic direction
  • Create a continuous product training program to improve product/industry knowledge that is consistent and aligned with National Sales Meetings and competitive standards
  • Provide personalized coaching to members of your team to increase their knowledge and develop their skills and versatility

The position reports to the regional Vice-president of Eastern Canada and is based out of the Montreal office. You will have under your leadership two inside sales representatives’ teams who are proving support to financial advisors.

Competencies required:

  • Bachelor's degree in administration, or in a related field and five years of relevant experience,
  • Financial designation (IFIC, CSC, PFP, CFA or Fellow from CSI), an asset
  • Experience in sales and business development
  • Experience in coaching and training
  • Excellent knowledge of sales techniques
  • Good knowledge of the financial environment and industry, more specifically the mutual fund industry
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English and French for dealing with English-speaking partners
