National Bank is carrying out the biggest technology upgrade in its history. We’re reviewing our systems and processes to simplify them and align them more closely with our clients’ needs.

Come work with multidisciplinary teams that manage and deliver business and technology projects for the Financial Markets, Wealth Management, Commercial Banking or Personal Banking sectors. You will work on large-scale projects such as digital web and mobile transformation, infrastructure as code (Cloud), business projects, regulations, etc.

Your day to day:

• Manage and implement large-scale business and technology projects prioritized by the business sector by creating a motivating environment and exercising your leadership appropriately

• Diagnose problem situations, take action and help resolve complex problems by implementing solutions and mitigation/contingency plans

• Initiate changes and encourage the constant rethinking of work methods with a view to fostering continuous improvement to achieve set objectives

• Optimize the use of project resources on an ongoing basis to achieve the sector’s objectives

• Identify and manage the risks and issues inherent to the project in a consistent, proactive manner

• Produce various reports to track the progress of the project and provide progress reports, while adapting your communications to the audience

• Manage stakeholders and maintain good relationships with internal and external collaborators

• Set up governance and the right channels of communication between project collaborators and ensure ongoing communication with all stakeholders

• Be a change agent, promoting our values and demonstrating that we have zero tolerance for undesirable behaviours


• Completed bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or completed master’s degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience

• At least 7 years experience as a project manager of large-scale projects and in large companies

• Experience managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams

• Experience delivering regulatory projects, an asset

• Experience in leading workshops and coaching

• Familiarity with agile delivery mode

• Knowledge of the banking industry, an asset   

• Disciplined, results-oriented, with negotiating skills

• Ability to simplify issues, risks and business objectives

• Good communication skills and ability to summarize information at all levels of the organization

• Influential leadership and strong political acumen

• Cooperative, accountable

• Superior ability to adapt to change

• Knowledge of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)

• Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French), an asset
