This National Bank sector offers wealth management services and advice to a discerning, high-net-worth clientele. 

In this new role within the Business Intelligence & Analytics team, you will do preliminary work with a multidisciplinary team that manages and delivers large-scale projects with a major impact on the efficiency and profitability of PB 1859 and the experience of its clients. 

Working at PB 1859 will allow you to quickly increase your expertise in investment and in personal and commercial banking while working in a single business line. 

You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics / PB 1859, joining a seasoned team with expertise in business and in data.

Your role 

Your business acumen will enable you to support the new Variable Compensation Program (VCP) of the Private Banking 1859 sales force. 

The sector is responsible for supporting the maintenance, optimization and evolution of the VCP, which will be migrated to the Bank’s target data ecosystems.

You will demonstrate leadership and proactivity as part of a key project for PB 1859, while acquiring detailed knowledge of the business line and its products so you can provide strategic and operational support.

As a technical and business expert, you will carry out analyses and make relevant data widely available to promote overall understanding of the VCP.  You will do all this in a rapidly growing and stimulating environment.

Your role

  • Work closely with other members of the team as well as stakeholders in Wealth Management and across the Bank to contribute to and collaborate on the development of a coherent and integrated VCP and its components Bank-wide
  • Understand business issues, identify the needs of stakeholders and propose strategies to support their activities, keeping in mind the varied nature of files
  • Suggest innovative solutions for managing, analyzing and enhancing data, as well as for producing tools so that management can be proactive in managing the VCP
  • Analyze and understand the business needs of the sector and its partners and translate them into data engineering requirements
  • Build links between the Bank’s various data sources and integrate the new data required into the ecosystem
  • Coordinate and follow up on new data sources added, as needed
  • Document tables and all the transformations used via the metadata management tool
  • Identify and design solutions to automate certain data inflows and outflows, in close collaboration with all stakeholders 
  • Ensure the continuity and quality of data made available throughout the data life cycle and follow up with various stakeholders
  • Be able to explain the information to the sales force so they understand how to manage their performance
  • Establish and maintain effective communications and help improve internal and external communications
  • Contribute to managing change and its impact on the VCP and coordinate the deployment of various solutions within the sector in line with a Bank-wide target
  • Keep business needs documentation up to date and collaborate with various business, IT and support stakeholders in implementing the VCP sector-wide and Bank-wide.

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of professional experience in data engineering and manipulation, data science, IT, mathematics or statistics OR master’s degree and three years of relevant professional experience
  • Sound knowledge of data models, structure and management and data engineering
  • Full proficiency in SQL and SAS
  • Knowledge of OLAP tools (Power BI)
  • Knowledge of written and spoken French
