Senior Cybersecurity Advisor

As a Senior Cybersecurity Advisor, reporting to the Senior Manager, Unit Risk Management of the Infrastructure, Operations and Security Assets technology group, you be will part of a team of cybersecurity advisors responsible for assessing the risks of the solutions in the area of cryptography, IAM, security monitoring, threat and vulnerability management, network security management, cloud security and mobile security. 

Collaborating closely with development teams, product owners, security architects and other domain architects, you will be an integral part of the evolution and success of; (1) ensuring our IT assets and data are never compromised, (2) taking a client first / security first approach, and (3) cloud security strategy. 

Your role:

As a first line of defense, you will directly influence the security posture of the bank and influence the mindset to adopt cloud computing and leverage cloud provider tools, third-party vendor services and SaaS security solutions. You will show diplomacy and effective management of business IT relationships in proposing innovative security approaches that will improve the security posture of the bank.

• Ensure that cyber risk considerations are considered at each stage of the infrastructure life cycle
• Work with infrastructure asset managers, security product owners, development teams, sysadmins, DBAs,  domain, application and data architects to assess the risk posture of infrastructure,  applications and platforms
• Produce, maintain and communicate indicators (progress, performance, risk, etc.)
• Produce clear, succinct and comprehensive assessments outlining the initial and residual cybersecurity risk posture of given solutions.
• Proactively propose solutions to reduce the risk of potential failures
• Communicate, clarify and defend the results of your work to senior executives at risk committees.
• Provide recommendations, based on existing policies and industry best practices and network security measures. 
• Be an active participant to the security governance, security community of practice and instill a security first culture
• Participate in the development of the documentation of policies, norms and standards for the security practices 
• Work closely with security architects to apply security design patterns and roadmaps

Competencies required

• Bachelor's degree related to the industry and six years of relevant experience or master’s degree related to the industry and four years of relevant experience 
• Experience with governance, risk management, compliance processes.
• Excellent knowledge and certification in security areas (e.g. CISSP)
• Hands-on experience in security implementations
• Hands-on experience in one of multiple of those topics: enterprise level Security Monitoring, Threat and Vulnerability management, Mobile security, Cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with IAM, Active Directory, HPAM or Cryptography
• Be a team player.
• Ability to work in complex environments.
• Bilingualism (spoken / written) French and English.
• Experience using the Atlassian suite of tools.
