As a Senior Communications Advisor for the Customer Experience Centre team, working in matrix mode with the Personal and Commercial Banking teams, you will develop strategies and communications that directly contribute to employee engagement and mobilization.

Your role  

  • Understand business challenges by designing and executing relevant communication strategies that use official and emerging communication channels and tools.
  • Advise the Customer Experience Centre business sectors on the communication approach to adopt and the key messages to convey in order to promote employee engagement and buy-in to change.
  • Collaborate with the sector’s different functions and line levels to identify the impact of initiatives intended to mitigate reputational risk and prevent client complaints.
  • Communicate with our sales force employees so they understand the business objectives and learn about new initiatives for improving our impact on clients and employees.
  • Ensure consistent messaging based on the Bank’s orientations, priorities, culture, and values.
  • Decide on the angles of communication and the most effective messages for various communications and draft relevant and creative content. Organize talks and events for an internal audience of more than 1,200 employees.
  • Develop different communication tools inherent to the strategies (written content, video scripts and storyboards, internal social media, etc.) and support partners in managing the sector’s knowledge.

This position is part of the Employee Experience sector and reports to the Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility sector. You’ll join a team of advisory experts with years of experience in communications. The team is known for working together to come up with innovative, creative ideas that motivate employees.


Required skills

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or completed master’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in designing and producing an internal communication strategy for a large organization
  • Excellent ability to analyze and understand complex topics and explain them in simple terms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines while maintaining good attention to detail
  • Perfect writing skills in French

Preferred skills

  • Ability to motivate various stakeholders and work with multiple partners in matrix mode
  • Experience in the financial services industry, client contact centres and/or a branch network and knowledge of the Commercial Banking sector (an asset)
  • Knowledge of best practices/proficiency in collaboration tools (internal social media)
  • Demonstrates extensive creativity and easily thinks outside the box
