Come work as a senior Fraud Detection Clerk for the Financing Fraud team at 600 de La Gauchetière in Montreal. The sector’s mission is to minimize losses while carrying out fraud prevention and detection related to the fraudulent use of cheques.
Reporting to the Manager, as a Senior Clerk you will ensure the quality of interventions and services provided while helping to resolve operational issues and improve existing processes. Moreover, you will carry out various everyday analyses to provide useful information for decision-making and mitigating the Bank’s risks of loss and fraud. Finally, you will be responsible for maintaining an excellent business relationship with our clients and other entities of the Bank.

Your role

  • Provide centralized services to business lines to limit operating losses resulting from cheque fraud
  • Respect service agreements and manage volumes
  • Collaborate in analyzing systems and process performance 
  • Analyze information and provide data for decision-making in order to optimize work systems and processes
  • Act as the liaison officer for internal and external partners.
  • Interact with various sectors of the Bank and external partners to provide support based on your expertise
  • Ensure operational activities comply with policies and procedures in place

Competencies required

  • High school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or college diploma and 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience in customer service
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Writing skills
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)

Preferred competencies

  • Expertise in fraud
  • Expertise in banking products (debit cards, credit cards and bank accounts)
  • Knowledge of CIS and SAP applications
  • Knowledge of payment card systems
