As a Senior Card and Payment Business Process Advisor at National Bank, you will define the priorities and strategic directions for the Card and Payment Solutions value chain. You will monitor the evolution and efficiency of end-to-end processes and make recommendations that significantly impact performance. You will keep abreast of changes in consumer needs and market trends, and monitor processes involving the client experience (e.g., card activation, address change, issuing a card). You will also evaluate the Bank’s competitive position, prepare forecasts on the efficiency of processes, and recommend strategies to enable optimal positioning.

  • Develop and implement the end-to-end process supporting the "BIN sponsorship" strategy (growth strategy)
  • Work closely with the stakeholders involved to ensure the program is successful for every sponsored client
  • Assess the performance of end-to-end processes affecting the client experience and maintain results within the established thresholds
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes while creating a better client experience
  • Diagnose problem situations and help solve complex problems
  • Take charge of issues raised by committees
  • Influence directions, policies and procedures to improve efficiency
  • Ensure that stakeholder’s objectives are in line with the sector’s business objectives
  • Ensure that changes are implemented by prioritizing them in the sectors concerned
  • Verify the performance of business processes in place
  • Ensure that action plans are followed up with respect to internal audits, compliance and operational risk

Competencies required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7–10 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 5–7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in payment and credit card networks; required
  • Experience in process development; required
  • Experience in process improvement; an asset
  • Knowledge of compliance related to Cards and Payments
  • Knowledge of process review methodologies 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize information
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
