Senior Business Analyst

A career in finance at National Bank means contributing to the Bank’s transformation and having a direct impact on clients. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will analyze business needs and help solve complex issues in the Finance sector.

This newly created team wants to become the resource for Business Intelligence in the Finance sector. Our mission is to help transform the way Finance works by offering the skills, support and solutions that will speed up decision-making.

Your role

• Participate in the implementation of a strategy to propel the Finance sector into an advisory role
• Work with various stakeholders who have different mandates and varied expertise (technology, data, finance, etc.) and ensure ongoing communication
• Coordinate mandates under your responsibility, from the analysis stage through to the solution rollout while taking care of change management
• Understand and translate stakeholders’ business intelligence and analytical needs, document processes, and model information flows 
• Understand complex data flows and define use cases to optimize existing solutions
• Identify, document and develop metrics, performance indicators, business rules, reports and statistics to meet information needs
• Lead workshops and inform communities of practice about news and opportunities
• Define change for teams and identify potential impacts

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience working in Agile mode and participation in business intelligence and analytical projects
• Ability to summarize and communicate in non-technical language as well as explain specialized topics in laymen’s terms
• Excellent organizational, planning and priority management skills
• Diligent, curious and a self-starter
• Demonstrated leadership and influence
• Fully capable of adapting to new technological environments
• Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French) for dealing with English-speaking partners

Preferred skills

• Knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence and SharePoint
• Excellent knowledge of SAP S4/HANA, Analysis for Office, and SAC
• Comfortable leading large group meetings and making presentations
