As a Senior Analyst – Credit Risk Disclosure, you’ll play an active role in the process surrounding IFRS 9 (classification and impairment of financial instruments). In addition, you’ll have the chance to participate in regulatory disclosure by helping to produce, develop and optimize regulatory reports as well as to participate in external disclosure on a quarterly and annual basis.

This position is part of the Consolidation and Financial Reporting team, which reports to the Vice-President – Chief Accountant and Capital Management within the Finance group. This dynamic team thrives on challenges and values teamwork and collaboration. The Finance sector is currently undergoing a digital transformation and will take on a wide range of challenges in the coming years.

Your role

  • Be responsible for reconciling financial and regulatory data (checking the classification of financial instruments, processing incorrect transactions, reconciling data between different environments)
  • Participate in the IFRS 9 process to ensure that expected credit losses are recorded in the general ledger on a monthly basis
  • Help produce, develop and improve the regulatory reports that the team must submit to different regulatory bodies
  • Participate in monthly/quarterly/annual disclosure related to provisions for credit losses, credit losses and impaired loans
  • Help facilitate communication with regulatory bodies about financial data shared in regulatory reports
  • Establish partnerships with stakeholders from various teams within the Bank (risk management, capital management, financial accounting, etc.)

Required skills

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and database analysis tools
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Initiative, autonomy and efficiency
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stress effectively
  • Excellent capacity 

Preferred skills

  • Professional CPA designation
  • Accounting experience
  • Bilingualism (French and English), as you will work closely with colleagues outside Quebec
