Senior Advisor – Exclusive Remote Advisory Service

Join the new Exclusive Remote Advisory Service team and play a key role supporting clients in achieving their overall financial goals in a dynamic and stimulating working environment. 

Based at the Montreal head office of National Bank of Canada, you will be promoting the best wealth management offer available! You and your colleagues will support a unique service offering in the industry by providing a simplified client experience. With this new model, clients will benefit from an expanded product offering. 

In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager and your main challenges will be to:

  • Take a 360 approach to giving advice (investment, financing and protection) and support the clients assigned to the Exclusive Remote Advisory Service using a defined model
  • Manage the long-term relationship with our clients (acquisition, retention) 
  • Understand client profiles and their investment, financing and protection needs, with a focus on investment
  • Direct clients to the appropriate service offering, based on the level of advice required and the appropriate channel. 
  • Deliver retirement and financial plans to support clients with their finances
  • Clearly explain the business model behind the Exclusive Remote Advisory Service team’s service offering to engage clients
  • Provide outstanding customer service, and high-quality advice that meets our standards
  • Adhere to compliance and risk management rules 

Specifically, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned clients
  • Contribute to growing the Bank’s investment market share and number of clients by offering current and new clients integrated financial solutions adapted to their needs
  • Analyze clients’ portfolios based on the information available and obtained
  • Assess risk tolerance, personal objectives and clients’ needs based on their age and life situation
  • Develop financial plans and investment and withdrawal strategies based on individual client needs 
  • Contact clients in accordance with established standards

Required competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in administration with a major in finance or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an advanced advisory role
  • Excellent knowledge of investment products
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) successfully completed
  • Conduct and Practices Handbook Course successfully completed
  • Business development experience
  • Bilingualism (English and French), required
  • Financial planner designation, an asset

When this new team is launched, you will work Monday to Friday (standard office hours). Depending on how client needs evolve, some evening shifts may become available.  You and your collaborators will be serving clients across Canada remotely by phone.
