To work as a PO on the Payment Hub project is to transform the face of payments at the BNC. It is replacing legacy payment systems with a modern solution based on the latest technologies. It is beeing part of a large, dynamic and committed team that works with many internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Senior Manager / Master PO in the Commercial and Insurance sector, you will work within a team of 4 POs and 2 senior advisers in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams in order to prioritize and contribute to the delivery of various projects aimed at adapting and modernizing the bank's commercial payment systems both in Canada and internationally.

What about the day-to-day activities of the position?

  • Guide the development of a large-scale projects aimed at adapting and modernizing the Bank's commercial payment engines that has a major impact on the orientations of one of the Bank's business lines;
  • Align the product vision with the Bank's vision and needs and obtain positioning that goes beyond your business line;
  • Anticipate complex and strategic issues that have an impact on the entire organization; Analyze complex situations that require the development of creative, original and practical solutions;
  • Help define the product's strategic orientations with the Master PO;
  • Manage the priority and sequencing of an integrated product backlog of diversified and strategic products that have significant impact and value in the organization;
  • Manage stakeholders in several business lines at the Bank to ensure that needs are well identified and prioritized.


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience OR master's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent understanding of payment systems (SWIFT and LVTS or AFT and EDI);
  • Good understanding of payments and cash management products
  • Familiarity with the Payments Canada Modernization program, an asset;
  • Experience with delivering large-scale projects;
  • Experience in business analysis and process review;
  • Solid knowledge of best practices and market and competition trends;
  • Great organizational and priority management skills;
  • Influential leadership skills and excellent team player;
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French).
