Being a Senior BI Analyst at National Bank means acting as a data expert who will be required to perform analyses and develop management reports, studies, and research to promote adapted solutions and contribute to optimizing work processes.

This position reports to the Senior Manager – Sales Force Performance, Personal Banking. The team is made up of 12 business intelligence advisors whose mission is to improve access to reliable, clear information for optimal performance monitoring.

Our priority is to simplify access to information needed for making decisions.

Our collaboration with the sales force allows us to make information more relevant and improves and facilitates decision-making. New dashboards make it possible to track the progress of the most relevant indicators over time. Simplifying access to data for analytics teams increases their autonomy.

Working in data analysis means working on a team surrounded by experts, in order to provide expertise to committees and special or large-scale projects that have an impact on the Bank's practice, policy and product development.

More information about the role: 

  • Develop, implement and track management tools and reports in accordance with distribution network needs 
  • Act as a subject matter expert in identifying, extracting and manipulating data and producing the information needed for analyses
  • Make the necessary corrections and updates to internal systems and management reports following annual changes and modifications
  • In your capacity as an expert, contribute to optimizing project processes by proposing innovative solutions that take specific needs into account
  • Ensure data integrity

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience OR master’s degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience 
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of BI tools (SSRS, Power BI)
  • Excellent knowledge of data integration tools (SSIS)
  • Excellent knowledge of T-SQL language
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Access and Excel VBA tools
  • Knowledge of Big Data environments, an asset
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French), essential
