Practice advisor integrated IT release management and environments governance

A career as a Practice Advisor at National Bank means participating in transformation with a positive impact on our clients. As a Practice Advisor for Integrated IT Release Management, the main mandate will be to ensure that the non-production environments governance practice evolves, and to work in close collaboration with project groups and delivery teams, as well as Support and IT Operations, in order to coordinate deliveries and deployments and lead synergy and resolution meetings between the different groups during incidents in the non-production environments.

This position is with the Senior Director of IT Changes, Integration and Releases Management

Your main challenges:   

  • Developing practices, ways of doing things and working methods to increase the stability of the bank's ecosystems
  • Coordinate incidents in the non-production environments in order to communicate and document follow-ups
  • Analyze potential conflicts during interventions and mitigate risks with the teams
  • Bring different teams together to manage priorities and help resolve problems and incidents encountered in different environments
  • Supervise implementation activities and tests during deployments of integrated versions
  • Be proactive in solving problems
  • Produce and monitor the Statistics and KPIs of the environments


  • University degree completed and 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the industry
  • Good knowledge of process controls and ITIL / ITSM and Agile best practices
  • Ability to analyze and identify integration and contention problems in environments
  • Knowledge of BNC environments and ecosystems (applications and techniques)
  • Rigour in follow-ups, attention to detail and knowing how to make the right decisions
  • Experience in version control
  • Ability to work in a team in a highly dynamic environment
  • Flexibility in working hours that may sometimes require working outside normal hours
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingualism (spoken / written) French and English
