Being a Front-End Developer on National Bank’s cybersecurity team means contributing to the Bank's transformation and having a direct impact on clients. You will report to the Senior Manager, Risk and Practices and be part of the wider team under the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Your role  

  • Create and maintain clean, efficient, secure, and well-architected code that meets established standards
  • Design responsive user interfaces that are both efficient and user-friendly
  • Create and maintain functionalities
  • Work with various external suppliers
  • Work closely with team members
  • Add and maintain appropriate code documentation
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the software and processes, and recommend constructive solutions
  • Build and maintain unit tests
  • Identify and fix bugs and use issues that occur and prevent their recurrence
  • Establish and follow schedules for several projects and stakeholders


Required skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a developer
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Java and React
  • Extensive experience with AWS
  • Knowledge of Docker, Jenkins, Bitbucket and GitHub
  • In-depth understanding of CI/CD concepts
  • Proficiency in security tools such as Aqua Security, Nexus, Security Hub, etc.
  • Discipline, autonomy, adaptability, critical thinker, creativity, respect and a sense of humour
  • Bilingualism

Preferred competencies

  • Amazon Web Services or security certifications, a definite asset
