As a Branch Manager you will be responsible for supporting and assisting the employees of the branch, applying the Bank's strategic vision, and ensuring the professional development of your team. You will play a key role by ensuring the smooth functioning of your branch, listening to your employees and coaching them on a day-to-day basis.
This position reports to the Regional Vice-President.
In your role, you will be expected to:
Meet the branch's expected financial contribution (based on the regional business plan) by presenting it to your team and identifying the expected behaviours and business development activities
Provide personalized coaching to Advisors, the Customer Service Manager and the business development support team, to help them develop their skills and progress in their careers
Oversee the hiring, development and performance management of your team
Motivate your team to ensure a superior client experience
Ensure that members of your team apply and adhere to the established rules of engagement regarding client segmentation, referrals, transactions, risk management, regulatory compliance and branch procedures
Act as a Business Unit Compliance Officer (BCO), overseeing all Mutual Fund Representatives (MFRs) assigned to the unit and ensuring that all transactions comply with suitability and compliance rules
Build lasting relationships with branch clients through various acquisition and retention activities
Optimize the quality of service offered to small businesses by assigning Advisors based on the branch's market potential
Act as an ambassador for the Bank within the local community and build profitable relationships with primary business partners
The candidate needs to be able to identify all risks inherent to the Personal and Commercial Banking sector’s activities.
Based on your academic background, at least 4 to 10 years' experience
- in managing and coaching a business development team
- in business development in the financial industry
College diploma and 9 years' experience
University certificate or National Bank University Program and 8 years' experience
Bachelor's degree and 6 years' experience
Master's degree and 4 years' experience
Mutual fund representative (MFR) licence
Be a Business Unit Compliance Officer (BCO) or become one within 3 to 6 months of hiring
Bilingualism French and English (spoken and written), knowledge of Italian, a strong asset

Particular Condition:Temporary position for a period of 15 months (maternity leave replacement).
At the end of the mandate, the selected person will be relocated to a regular Branch Manager position in the region.
The selected candidates will have to complete online tests during the recruitment process.
As part of his duties, the candidate will have to carry out networking activities and will be required to travel to meet clients.
Please note that a minimal time in function ( in the same function, same transit and/or same portfolio) of 2 years is required for this position because it demands a constant and direct relationship with customers. This period will allow you to acquire the required skills for the position and to build a relationship with your customers. Work schedule may require evening and week-end shifts. Please note that the work schedule may vary according to operational needs.
