This position reports to the Senior Manager, Advisor Programs & Policies, NBFWM.

Founded in 1902, National Bank Financial Wealth Management is the fifth largest securities brokerage firm in Canada for its assets under management.  Its network is comprised of close to 900 wealth advisors in 90 branches across the country.

The Advisor Programs & Policies team’s main objectives are the accuracy of the wealth advisors pay and the rigorous application of the line of business’ programs and policies.  As part of this 6-person team, you will play a key role in managing our business development expense sharing program on a national level and be the main contact person for our entire network.  You will strive to provide the best experience to our advisors all while ensuring the optimal management of the program.  This team offers a dynamic and collegial work environment, either working remotely or at the head office in a collaborative setting, as required.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Support our advisors in their business development efforts through our business expenses sharing programs
  • Analyze and provide detailed information useful in the decision-making process
  • Manage our offering and tracking of orders of promotional items
  • Coordinate and achieve various projects linked to your activities 

Specifically, you will:

  • Compile, verify and authorize requests submitted within the program
  • Analyze and reply to questions and requests from the network
  • Develop and maintain reporting to monitor the program and expenses submitted
  • Update and publish program information in our intranet and SharePoint page
  • Create communication tools to facilitate access to information for our network
  • Gather data and pertinent information to prepare various reporting
  • Collaborate effectively with our internal business partners

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related domain and 1 year’s pertinent experience OR university certificate and 3 years’ pertinent experience OR DEC in commerce or in another related field and 4 years’ pertinent experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting
  • Experience in data analysis, processing and reporting
  • Client servicing experience – by phone and by email
  • Basic knowledge taxation principles (preferable)
  • Good understanding of the structure of our network of branches is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel (pivot tables), Word & PowerPoint
  • Bilingual (spoken/written) in French and English a must
