Commercial Account Manager – SME

We're currently recruiting candidates who want to develop their career with our entrepreneur clients. Are you motivated to actively invest yourself in our Commercial Banking Talent Development Program? This intensive six-month immersion program will give you access to a stimulating career on the Commercial Banking team at National Bank.

You must be willing to accept a role covering one of the following markets; Brossard, St-Jean-sur-le-Richelieu or St-Hyacinthe.

Your day-to-day :

During your training, you'll learn the main disciplines of an Account Manager through coaching, mentoring, and internships in different sectors, especially on our Operations, Risk Management, Advice and services call centre teams, and various business centres in the Commercial Banking sector.  

This program will allow you to expand your knowledge, acquire first-hand experience and learn more about the Commercial Banking sector's products and services.  

At the end of the training program, you will be offered a permanent position as an SME Account Manager in one of these markets:Brossard, St-Jean-sur-le-Richelieu ou St-Hyacinthe. 

Main challenges :

As an Account Manager, you will have to:

  • Develop a client portfolio
  • Meet business development objectives by offering solutions tailored to your clients' full range of needs
  • Identify business opportunities in your market for all products and services offered by the Bank
  • Participate in visibility activities in your market
  • Carry out financial analyses and develop financing scenario
  • Negotiate product terms and conditions with clients, making sure that they meet the expected profitability criteria
  • Ensure that service quality standards are applied and that compliance and risk management rules are followed

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a finance-related field
  • Several years of experience in the financial services industry and in business development
  • Passionate about entrepreneurship and want a career in Commercial Banking
  • Interpersonal skills and ease in building business relationships
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and financial statement analysis
  • Bilingual (spoken/written) in French and English
