As a Business Development Manager, you’ll participate in directing business strategies to ensure market share growth and client engagement, while working together with the different partner sectors of distribution.

Your role

  • Provide specialized coaching to partners in your region to maximize referrals.
  • Negotiate and present customized contracts that meet the needs of high-level clients.
  • Prepare and carry out quarterly action plans aimed at growing NBDB's market share and support managers in the Bank network in achieving their net investment and savings inflow objectives.
  • Meet with self-employed clients in order to present NBDB’s service offering with the goal of acquiring and retaining clients.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies in line with corporate orientations
  • Develop new business opportunities through presentations and offensives aimed at self-employed workers, professional associations and targeted partners.
  • Develop and lead classroom seminars, webinars, lunch meetings and other events aimed at current and potential clients in order to boost client knowledge, develop new markets and acquire new clients.

This position reports directly to the Vice-President – Marketing and Business Development.

Competencies required

  • A completed bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience or a completed master’s degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Expert knowledge of investment and securities products and services
  • Experience in sales and business development involving clients and advisors
  • A strong ability to develop lasting business relationships with a target clientele
  • Ability to organize and deliver high-level conferences for potential and current Bank clients

Preferred competencies  

  • Have successfully completed the CSC and CSI Conduct and Practices Handbook Course with IIROC
